Stephen Young is a award-winning educator from Eastern Kentucky. He received his Bachelors Degree from Eastern Kentucky University, his Masters Degree from Union College, and his Rank I from the University of Kentucky. Over his 28 year in education, he worked as an Art Teacher, Assistant Principal, and was the Head Principal at Central Elementary and at WR Castle Elementary, one of Kentucky’s BEST Elementary Schools in 2022 (US News & World Report). He served on numerous local and state boards, including serving as a KMSA State Board Member for seven years, and was the State Middle School Association President for a two-year term. His love of literature began at an early age, as his mother read to her sons often. He also began to draw at an early age, copying heroes from the comic books that his father brought home to him.  A life-long resident of Kentucky, where he now lives with his wife of 32 years, Angel. They have three daughters and six grandchildren. Stephen retired from education in 2022 and now spends most of time writing, drawing, painting, hiking, kayaking, and camping. He visits local elementary schools and libraries, reading and drawing from his own stories to students on occasion.
